QR codes in Lucidity offer a versatile way to access vital information quickly and efficiently, from employee records to asset details. This article explores various practical applications of QR codes and provides guidance on how to generate and print them for different purposes.
1. Using QR codes
QR codes enhance the functionality and accessibility of information within Lucidity. Here's how to use, create, and print QR codes effectively.
1.1. Access HR records
- Purpose: Quickly access an employee's or contractor's HR record from their ID card in emergencies.
- Location: On Employee or Contractor ID card.
- Create & Print: Export data from the HR module to create URLs. Print ID cards using the card printer software.
1.2. Verify training records
- Purpose: Verify training and induction by scanning the ID card to open the training history.
- Location: On the back of Employee or Contractor ID card.
- Create & Print: Export data from the Competency or HR modules to create URLs. Print ID cards using the card printer software.
1.3. Access asset information
- Purpose: Open asset information, including maintenance status and documentation.
- Location: Printed label fixed to the asset.
- Create & Print: Export data from the Asset module to create labels. Use individual asset URLs for single labels.
1.4. Start forms in Lucidity App
- Purpose: Begin forms like plant pre-start or toolbox meetings.
- Location: Printed on notice boards or plant items.
- Create & Print: From the InForm module, filter and add new forms to get the starting URL.
1.5. Public form submission
- Purpose: Allow non-logged users to submit forms without using the Lucidity App.
- Location: Displayed at reception or helpful locations. URLs can be included on websites and in emails.
- Create & Print: Use the public form link available from the admin page of each form template.
1.6. Area entry with Lucidity OnSite
- Purpose: Scan QR codes to enter an area without NFC cards, checking eligibility in Lucidity OnSite.
- Location: Displayed at entry points.
- Create & Print: From the Onsite module, use the relevant area URL to generate the QR code.
1.7. Scan QR codes for area entry
- Purpose: Site Managers or Supervisors can scan QR codes of other users to allow area entry.
- Location: Displayed at entry points.
- Create & Print: From the HR module, use the user’s URL to generate the QR code.
