Linking Induction to Competency for eLearning

Linking Lucidity Induction to Lucidity Competency creates a seamless integration for managing and tracking employee eLearning across both platforms. This powerful connection allows organisations to streamline their training processes, from initial onboarding to ongoing professional development, while maintaining a comprehensive record of employee competencies and completed courses.
1. Linking to Induction

Lucidity Induction can be linked to Lucidity Competency to enable the completion of eLearning. When this is configured, users can log into Lucidity Competency and undertake online training. Upon completion of training, a record is automatically entered into Lucidity Competency, and any existing needs are set to complete.
In order to set up Lucidity Induction and Lucidity Competency to work in this manner, the following steps are needed:
- Create a capability within Lucidity Competency.
- Create a training course within Lucidity Induction, complete with presentations and assessment as required. The course can have one or more modules.
- Link the previously created capability within Lucidity Competency to the course in Lucidity Induction. This can be done in two ways:
- From the Course page within Lucidity Induction:

2. Naming conventions
For best practice and to limit confusion, it is recommended that the capability title within Lucidity Competency and the course name within Lucidity Induction are the same.
Lucidity Induction can now be used for the delivery of eLearning for the capability selected within Lucidity Competency.
In order for a user to undertake the eLearning, the following steps are required:

Prerequisites
- A need must exist for the user (created manually via the Needs page or as part of a competency role).

Access
- User logs into Lucidity Competency via: The Competency login screen, or the module switcher from another application.

Navigation
- User lands on the My Training page, displaying required eLearning courses.

Course Initiation
- User clicks Start Training to begin an eLearn.
- User follows instructions to complete the course and any required assessments.

Completion
- A record is automatically created in Lucidity Competency for the capability.
- The corresponding need in Lucidity Competency is closed.
- The item is removed from the user's Online Training menu.
- Post-Completion
- User can access their Training History page to:
- View the record.
- Generate a receipt.
- Review the course again.
