Using Induction instructions

Induction instructions in Lucidity serve as crucial guidelines for new users navigating the system and completing their required training modules. This guide will walk you through the processes of editing existing instructions to keep them current and relevant, as well as deleting outdated or unnecessary instructions, ensuring your induction process remains clear, efficient, and aligned with your organisation's evolving needs.
1. Induction instruction

The Instructions page is where administrators can manage the instructions which are displayed in various locations throughout the system.
From the Instruction page, the text may appear written as code. When opened, each individual instruction will appear as normal text.
From the Instruction page, administrators can manage instructions for:
- eLearn course declaration.
- Self-registration welcome page.
- Self-registration terms and conditions.
- Induction log in page.
The table below shows an example for each potential instruction, including from the administrator and user screens.

2. Edit instruction
To edit an existing instruction, from the Instruction page:
- Click the relevant course group or click Edit to the far right of the course group.
- Edit fields as relevant (see table Definitions of fields below).
- Click Save.
The details captured for each course may vary slightly between each system configuration. Fields marked with * are mandatory.

Enter a name (not seen by users). |

Enter the description. Use the formatting tools to format text, add hyperlinks, insert images etc. |
3. Delete instruction
To delete an instruction, from the Instructions page:
- Click Actions to the far right of the instruction.
- Click Delete.
- In the pop-up that appears, click Delete to completely delete the instruction from the system.
Important: Deleting an instruction cannot be undone - always use the delete function with caution. Any instruction deleted in error will need to be recreated.
