Ideagen EHS Core 2.0 is a new mobile app for phones and tablets, built on a modern technology platform. It starts with Inform and Actions, with more modules to follow. Your current EHS Core app keeps working while you plan, so you stay in control of the timing.
Why we built it
We heard your feedback about performance in the current app. Ideagen EHS Core 2.0 is built on a modern technology platform designed to give you a smoother, more responsive experience in the field. It also brings:
- A fresh interface that makes it easier to find what you need.
- More reliable photo capture, including taking several photos in one session.
- Clearer mandatory field indicators, so it is easier to see what is left to complete.
- The features you rely on in Dashboard, Inform and Actions, with sync and offline support.
What the app does
- Dashboard: see your open actions, overdue actions and forms in progress at a glance, with shortcuts to add a form or an action.
- Inform: search, filter and complete forms, add photos, documents and signatures, sign off Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), and email or share forms as PDFs.
- Actions: create, sort, reassign and close actions, add comments and photos, and open the linked required form.
- Offline and syncing: complete forms and actions without a connection. Your work syncs automatically when you are back online.

Find and recognise the new app
Ideagen EHS Core 2.0 is a separate app from your current EHS Core app. You download it from the App Store or Google Play, and both apps can sit on the same device while your team moves across. Check the name and icon before you download, so you open the right one.

How to download the new app
- Open the App Store on an iPhone or iPad, or Google Play on an Android phone or tablet.
- Search for EHS Core Mobile App 2.0, or use the buttons below.
- Check that the name includes 2.0 and that the icon matches the one above, then download the app.
Leading your team to the new app
A better experience is waiting for your team. Ideagen EHS Core 2.0 is built for the way your people work in the field, and the sooner they move across, the sooner they benefit. Your current app keeps working while you plan, so you decide the timing that suits your organisation.
Before you start
- Your organisation needs to be running EHS Core desktop (web) version 22.0.1 or later.
Steps for admins
- Try it yourself: test Ideagen EHS Core 2.0 first, and send us your feedback.
- Plan your move: decide when to bring your team across. You might start with a small group before moving everyone.
- Move your team: tell your users when to start using the new app.
What your users will see the first time they sign in
- They enter the domain your organisation provides. A help dialog explains where to find it.
- They sign in with their email and password. If your organisation is connected to Mazlan Home, they choose Sign in with SSO / Mazlan Home instead.
- The app sets up their workspace and downloads their data. They should keep the screen open until it finishes.
Connected to Mazlan Home? Tell your team to choose Sign in with SSO / Mazlan Home on the sign-in screen, not the username and password fields.

Tips for talking to your team
- Tell them the app is called Ideagen EHS Core 2.0 and what its icon looks like.
- Tell them when you would like them to start, and that their current app works until then.
- Remind them to keep the screen open during the first sync.
- Let them know that shortcuts for modules coming soon appear greyed out. They are not available yet.
- Point them to Online Help in the app profile, or to you, if they have questions.
Leading the change with your workforce
A new app is a change for the people who use it every day, not just a software update. Your teams in the field, on site and in the workshop will adopt it more readily when they understand why it matters, feel supported while they learn it and see that their feedback is heard. The ideas below draw on well-established change management practice, including the Prosci ADKAR model (Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability and Reinforcement).
A suggested rollout
Here is a suggested rollout from announcement to check-in. The principles below show how to make each step work.
A suggested rollout, from announcement to check-in
- Start with why (awareness and desire): explain the change in terms your team cares about. For example, the new app is built for a smoother experience in the field and makes photo capture and required fields easier. People support what they understand.
- Involve people on the front line early: invite a few respected users from different sites and roles to try the app first. They can spot practical issues, share what works and become champions for their colleagues.
- Make it easy to learn (knowledge and ability): give people time to practise before they rely on the app for real work. A short demonstration at a team meeting or toolbox talk goes a long way, and the first sign-in is easier in a quiet moment than in the middle of a shift.
- Protect the safety work: avoid switching teams over during a busy inspection cycle or a critical job. Choose a calm period for each site and give people a clear start date, while the current app keeps working until then.
- Listen and respond: make it easy to say what is not working, and tell people what you changed because of it. Feeling heard builds trust, and trust drives adoption.
- Reinforce the change (reinforcement): check in after the first week or two, thank your champions and share early wins. Small, visible signs of progress keep momentum going.
These are suggestions to adapt to your organisation, not product requirements.
What is coming next
