Configuring Return to Work insurers and managers

Return to Work insurers and managers are key players in facilitating employees' smooth transition back to the workplace after injury or illness. This article defines these roles, explores their distinct responsibilities, and outlines best practices for insurers, providers, and Return to Work coordinators in managing successful workplace reintegration.
1. Insurers and managers
In order to be selected in a case, the insurer, RTW coordinator and the provider (practitioner) must be first be added. The Insurer and Managers tab is where these lists for these people is managed. Generally, access to the Insurer and Managers tab is restricted to administrators.
Regardless of which type or person being accessed, the steps to add, edit or delete them is the same.
- To Add, click the Add New button, populate the fields (see table Definition of fields below) and click Save.
- To Edit, click the Edit button or the line item and make relevant changes, then click Save.
- To Delete, click Actions, Delete then Delete.
Information entered here will automatically populate corresponding fields in RTW plans.
1.1. Insurer

The insurer is the insurance company processing the insurance claim. Case managers from the insurance company can be added.
1.2. Definition of fields

| Main Phone Number | Enter the main phone number. |
| Address | Enter the physical address of the insurance company. |
| Postal Address | Enter the postal address if different to the physical address. |

Add case managers who work with the insurance company by:
For each insurer, it is possible to nominate one or more case manager. The case managers will appear as options within each case once the corresponding Insurer is selected. |

2. Return to Work coordinators

Return to work (RTW) coordinators are the company representatives who manage cases.
2.1. Definition of fields

| Personal Details | Enter the personal details of the RTW coordinator, such as name and contact details. |
| Address | Enter the work address of the RTW coordinator. |
| Site Details | Select the site details the RTW coordinator is generally based at. This may include division, business unit, location etc. |

3. Providers

Providers can be any provider or practitioner associated with a single or multiple RTW cases. These may include doctors, physio's, councillors, etc.
3.1. Definition of fields

Select the provider type: For example: GP, chiropractor, physio. |
